The 31 Day of Writing Challenge continues. Itβs Day 17 of my 31 Days of Gratitude 2015.
On the weekends I try to stay off the computer as much as I can so I can spend time with my family. I treasure the more leisurely days of the weekend and am grateful for the time we have to be more playful or relax and enjoy each others company.
With that in mind, I will use Saturdays to give you a quick recap of my second October challenge – #LoveYourLettering with Lisa at Creativlei.com. π

Week 3…
Day 11
On Day 11 we practiced writing Pangrams (sentences that incorporate each letter of the alphabet) and then we had to letter a quote in any method we’ve learned so far.

Days 12
Day 12 we practiced writing with a Calligraphy marker making basic letter forms.

Day 13
On Day 13 we practiced printing with a Calligraphy marker. There were two rows of each series, holding the pen at different angels.

Days 14-17
Lisa is out of town for the weekend so we have a few days to catch up and practice our letters. It worked out perfectly for me since I was already a little behind but I’m caught up now.
Day 15 was National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. Lisa remembered her baby girl who passed away at 28 days old. I remembered our two babies we lost in early miscarriage. (We felt they were boys and named them Victor and Joseph.)
Today I practiced words I could write on a note card to a friend.

You are doing such an amazing job! Keep up the good work! (I especially loved the colored letters at the end!!!)
Thanks, Laurel. I got really bogged down with other things and could not finish the course but I will be going back and finishing it! π
[…] October 17, 2015 (Day 17): #LoveYourLettering Recap Week […]
I’d like to join this challenge! It’s a little late in the month though. I think I’ll save this and try at a later time. Unless you’re planning on doing another 30 day challenge soon?
Hi Susan. I was not the one hosting the challenge. It was Lisa at http://www.Creativlei.com. I was merely following along. I have not been able to finish the course but she has all the assignments and videos online so you can go back and complete the course at any time. I will be doing the same thing. π
