#100 Miles in 100 Days – Day 8

walk_logo2.jpg
It is Day 8 of #100milesin100days. We had a busy day planned today so we didn’t have much time for a family walk. Instead Brian said I could go early and walk myself. I just made it to two miles before I collapsed. Some of the inclines in Carmel can be tiring for a novice walker! I did catch my breath when I got this photo of a shop window.

Afterwards I stopped at the little chapel at the Carmel Mission to make a visit to Our Lord. I said a prayer for you. šŸ™‚

#100 Miles in 100 Days – Day 7 & Happy Father’s Day and Birthday to Brian!

walk_logo2.jpg
It is Day 7 of #100milesin100days.
Today Brian gets to celebrate twice since it is Father’s Day and his birthday. We went on his favorite walk – the Canyon Trail. In honor of the day I call this photo “Walking in his father’s footsteps.” (I love you, Sweetie. Thank you for being such an incredible husband, father, man of God and best friend! xoxo)

A special thank you to my own father. I love you, dad! (I don’t need the Instagram 1970’s filter here. This is the real thing. šŸ˜‰

#100 Miles in 100 Days – Day 6

walk_logo2.jpg
It is Day 6 of #100milesin100days. It has been a busy day and Brian had to work so I did not have time to go out for a “formal” walk. Instead we took a mini-walk going back and forth on our long deck. I figured since I walked two miles yesterday, it evens out.
Here’s a photo from the deck. There are literally hundreds of moths flying around. Some days I look at them and think, how pretty. Some days I look at them and think, gross. You can’t really see all the moths in this photo since they blend in with the tree and plants but you can see one guy in the top right corner.

Enjoy the rest of your day! On the next Weigh-in Wednesday (6/20), I’ll post a Link Up if you’d like to share a post about your own physical/health goals.

#100 Miles in 100 Days – Day 5

walk_logo2.jpg
It is Day 5 of #100milesin100days. Brian had to work the late shift today so he didn’t need to leave for work until 10:00AM. He said if I wanted to go out walking alone I could go in the morning. Perfect! I left the house before the kids were up and went to the beach trail that is hard to use with a stroller.
The fog had not rolled in yet, the surfers were out and the water was gorgeous. I clocked in two miles although I was huffing on a few inclines. I am so out of shape! I am hoping it will get easier as I go. Here is the photo of the day of my walk. (Are you getting tired of ocean scenes?) The green area in the background is Pebble Beach.

#100 Miles in 100 Days: Day 4

walk_logo2.jpg
It is Day 4 of my goal of walking 100 miles in 100 days. It was also library day so I put John-Paul and Matthew in the double stroller while Andrew and Bella walked beside me. We did 1/2 a mile before the library and 1/2 a mile afterwards. They did really well considering and I only got a small number of dirty looks for having so many kids with me. (Now if I was walking four dogs, they would have been voting me in as mayor of the city. Sigh.) Anyway, here is a photo we took on our walk. It is a pretty little park that is across the street from the library.
