it is hard to believe that two years have passed by so quickly but my little baby is growing up – and will be a big brother by the end of summer! Happy Birthday, my sweet little Andrew!
That was then…this is now.

Happy 2nd Birthday, Andrew
Wedding Days & Back at Home
We’ve been out of town to attend the weeding of my brother Rob to his fiance Maria Rangel. The wedding was beautiful and Bella had the honor being the flower girl. (The most touching part was when Brian leaned over and whispered, “It was almost as beautiful as our wedding,” and then he kissed me. It’s nice to know he can still make my heart skip a beat after ten years of marriage!) Anyway, here is a pic of Bella with the bride and groom and Andrew dressed like a little man.
Cleaning the House
One of Andrew’s favorite pastimes is to dump out his snack bag of cheerios. The other day he did it again so I handed him the vacuum to clean up the mess himself. He did a good job but all the work made him hungry. He decided to just eat the last ones left on the floor. Now if I could get him to do the laundry, I’d be set.
Catholic Kid Moment
On a lighter note, Andrew’s favorite part of going to Mass or visiting the church is dipping his hand in the water font and blessing himself. Well now whenever he has a cup of water at home he dips his hand in first and blesses himself before drinking. Yesterday he must have thought I needed some blessings too because he dipped his hand in his cup and then blessed my forehead. (He is used to seeing his daddy bless us before we leave the house.) Gotta love those Catholic kid moments!
Congrats All Around!
It’s been a busy day in the RoL house! We got an early morning text announcing that I am an aunt for the first time and Bella and Andrew have their first cousin! Congrats to my sister EL who gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Maybe when she gets back on her feet, she’ll write the story of the birth since it was pretty amazing!
Secondly, today was Bella’s first day of first grade. She was thoroughly excited and no butterflies! Congrats, my big girl! (Andrew decided he wanted to have school fun too – let’s just hope that by the time he does go to school, he is bigger than the back pack!)
