Pinterest Party & Link-up (Vol 13): Tween Scrapbook Party

Note: This is a busy month with school, family and traveling to my sister’s wedding so I will only be doing one Pinterest Party this month (skipping the 4th Tuesday.) However, I will leave the link-up open for the whole month so you have plenty of time to link up and share with the rest of us! ๐Ÿ™‚ Enjoy!

Welcome to the RoL Pinterest Party. Join me every 2nd and 4th Tuesday as we link up and share how we made, cooked, baked, crafted, did, or created one of the pins on our Pinterest boards.

Not on Pinterest? No problem. Link-up your own creation to inspire us so we can pin it to our own boards. It can be a recipe, sewing project, Catholic craft, homeschool project, organizing/ homemaking tip, themed birthday party, whatever youโ€™d like. Donโ€™t have a post ready? The link-up will be open for 10 days so thereโ€™s still time. Plus, feel free to link up a new post or an older post that hasnโ€™t had much traffic lately. Don’t have a blog? No problem. Tell us about it in the comment box. Or post your photo and a description on the RoL Facebook page. ๐Ÿ™‚

For Bella’s 12th birthday she originally wanted a Newsies themed party but she decided to have a Scrapbook Party instead. However, to give her a touch of the Newsies, I incorporated them into the invitation.

I took a copy of the playbill and added a “You Are Invited” sign and quote for the cover of the invite.

I used picmonkey.com to make the inside of the invite. (Sorry but personal info is blacked out. ;-))

When Bella and I were looking for party supplies and decor she found these Art Journal Kits and wanted to buy one for each of her friends.

They were a little more than I wanted to spend for 5 girls but I counted it as part of her gift and just cut costs on other items.

For decorations we went to the Dollar Store and bought a red table cloth, plates and napkins for $3. I opened up the table cloth and added a strip of butcher paper down the middle. I opened up a couple of the napkins and used them as decorative squares.

I got some containers I had around the house and labeled them.

We already had a big collection of various stickers, scrapbook pages and found washi tape on clearance at Target and Michael’s.

For the name tags I used a pack of thank you note I had and cut them down to size.

One of the girls used her name tag for her scrapbook cover.

Here are some other covers.

And here are a few pages I snapped as they were putting them together.

Lastly, during the party I took a photos of the girls outside. I printed them a copy so they could add it to their scrapbook.

Bella had a lot of fun with her friends and she loved the party and activity. It’s a birthday we’ll always remember. ๐Ÿ™‚

Now it’s your turn.

1. Choose your creation, share about it and snap a photo if you can.

2. In your post, link back the original blogger/idea, rather than your Pinterest pin. That way credit goes to the proper person. ๐Ÿ™‚ (But feel free to add your Pinterest profile link so we can follow you!)

3. Add a link back here so others can play along. Here is the html code:

<a href=”http://www.revolutionoflove.com/blog/?p=2157″><img title=”Revolution of Love Blog – Pinterest Party &amp; Link-up” src=”http://www.revolutionoflove.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/pinterest_2_medW32-300×240.jpg” alt=”” width=”300″ height=”240″ /></a>

4. Link up below. Make sure you’re sending us to your actual post, and not to your general blog address.

You have 10 days A MONTH to post your link, so if you can’t get things done by Tuesday, no worries, put it up when you can. We’ll be here. Have fun!
