The 31 Day of Writing Challenge continues. Itβs Day 30 of my 31 Days of Gratitude 2015.

I have been out of the house and busy since 7:30 AM. Eleven hours later I finally have a moment to sit down and relax after a fun but busy day. The kids had their school Halloween parade and mini-carnival (where I was working) and them we went Trick or Treating at the local shopping mall that has a great Halloween party for kids. Added bonus, Brian was able to get off work early and he surprised us at the afternoon party. Yay!

It was fun but as far as I am concerned, Halloween is done. LOL. Tomorrow we will carve pumpkins and make Halloween cupcakes decorated by the kids. We’ll most likely skip night trick or treating since we’d have to drive to another neighborhood (there are no kids around here and we live on a hill with no sidewalks.) Plus the kids get freaked out by scary Halloween decor (surprisingly, except for the youngest.) So we’ll see how that works out tomorrow. (Parent code for: “It will depend on how tired mom and dad are come nightfall.”)
As tired as I am, I had so much fun with my little guys and sweet girl. And some of the kids I observed today were so wild and ill mannered! I was pleased to see that my kids may be wild at home but in public, they know how to behave themselves (for the most part.) But now, it’s time to crash on the couch. For all these things, I am truly thankful. π
