For the second year, I will be participating in the 31 Days Writing Challenge. If it is new to you, here are the details from write31days.com.
31 Days is an online writing challenge started by home blogger, Myquillyn Smith (The Nester) and now hosted by Crystal Stine, where bloggers pick one topic and write a post on that topic every day in October.
I had so much fun doing 31 Days of Gratitude (with photos and words) last year, I decided to do it again.
My inspiration for this year is this quote:
Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessing.” –Ā William Arthur Ward.
I want to remember that all the time, especially when I am complaining about doing something I don’t want to do. By looking at the situation differently, I can always find a reason to be grateful and recognize God’s blessings.
That is what I will be working on the next 31 days – using gratitude to change my ordinary day into an opportunity for joy and blessing. I hope you’ll join me on the journey. š
I’ll be posting each day on the blog but this page will be my landing page with links of each post for easy reference.
(To read last year’s posts, visit 31 Days of Gratitude 2014.)
Have a blessed day and I’ll be seeing you for the next 31 days! (Hopefully…) š
PS – You can follow RoL on Bloglovin, Feedly or another news feed. If you are a social media fan like me, we can stay in touch through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Periscope or Katch (past Periscopes), GoodReads, Letterboxd, or Spotify, š
Looking forward to following along, Bobbi! š
Thanks, Laurel! I’m happy to have you along and look forward to your posts as well! š
Great topic! I’ll be touching on gratitude this month too…I think it’s a big key (maybe the greatest?) to contentment.
Agreed, Ashley! I read your first post in your series and I can tell it is going to be a good one. I am looking forward to it. š

Oh I probably should have made a page! Eeek!! Thanks so much for your gentle nudges to do this! I’m excited to see what you’re posting over the next month!!!
Sure thing, Cristina. I need all the friends I can get making this journey with me since my tendency is to sputtering out by the second week. LOl
I’ll help on any way I can! <3
Gratitude is a beautiful thing to write about for 31 days…and potentially life-changing, right? š I’m glad I get to follow along!
Yes, Abbey! It’s funny but I was just listening to a periscope from Crystal Paine and she said that exact same thing – “Gratitude is lie changing.” That certainly can do my heart good. Thanks for stopping by! I’ll be heading over to your series next. š
Hooray – an attitude of gratitude! We can all use more of that, right? I am glad you’re doing this, Bobbi. Looking forward to journeying alongside. š
I love this! Definitely jumped on board with you and this awesome idea and can’t wait to follow along with you on your journey.
